Alhamdulillah, thanks to Allah and all the donors, over 10,000 people and animals have access to clean drinking water. In Niger, where water is among the most precious and scarce commodities.
Imagine a mother who no longer has to walk miles in the scorching sun to fetch water for her children. Imagine an elderly person who no longer has to worry about where they will get water for the next day. Imagine a child who can drink clean water instead of polluted water that brings disease and suffering.
For us, water is a daily necessity. For them, it is life.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked, “Which charity is best?” He replied, “To give water.”
Think about the magnitude of this goodness. Every time someone drinks from these wells, every time an animal quenches its thirst, every time a family fills its vessels, the reward continues to be recorded with Allah.
Now imagine that day when we will all stand before Allah. How valuable will such a charity be in your scales on the Day of Judgment? How precious will each drop of water that has reached a thirsty person through your participation be?
Our well campaign is year-round. Everyone can participate according to their ability. The funds are collected gradually until they reach the amount needed to build a new well.
Do not think that your donation is small. You may have contributed only a few euros or even a cent. But when these funds are combined with the donations of other people, they become a well that serves for years and brings life to thousands.
Imagine having a share in this great ongoing charity. Imagine knowing that somewhere in Africa, a person quenches his thirst thanks to a good deed in which you also participated.
May Allah accept from all donors, reward everyone who has been the cause of this good, and make these wells a light in our deeds on the Day when we will need it most.
