Together with the Association of Muslims from Bulgaria in the city of Mönchengladbach, Germany, we are launching a campaign to purchase a waqf property. More than 500 Muslim families from Bulgaria live in the city of Mönchengladbach.
The Association was registered 3 years ago, and for two years there has been a mosque, which is for rent. More than 50 children are taught our religion, morality and respect. The Imam Ahmed Hodja is also from Bulgaria, during the current month of Ramadan there are daily gatherings and prayers.
Currently, a suitable independent property of 590 square meters is being sold for the amount of 198,000.00 (one hundred ninety-eight thousand) euros. This amount ONLY for our diaspora in the city of Mönchengladbach is unbearable, BUT together we can build and make this Waqf.
In the world of materialism, there is one type of investment that transcends time and offers eternal rewards, and that is Waqf. This noble initiative not only strengthens the community but also leaves a lasting mark on future generations.
Allah Almighty says: “Those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah and do not oppress or offend, they will have their reward with their Lord. There will be no fear on them, nor will they grieve.”
“You will not attain righteousness until you spend of that which you love. And whatever you spend, Allah knows it.”
Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “Among the deeds that reach the believer after his death are: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, and a righteous child that he leaves behind.”
Purchasing a waqf property is one of the most sublime forms of sadaqah jariyah. It is an act of faith and devotion that will be rewarded many times over. It is an investment with eternal value. It is a way to leave a legacy that will continue to benefit long after we have left this world.
