Fatima Ismail (Founder, Chairperson, and Representative)

Founder and Manager of a non-governmental organization | UNICEF Volunteer

I am Fatima –  a dedicated volunteer with many years of experience supporting vulnerable communities in Bulgaria and around the world. A volunteer in the non-governmental sector for over 20 years, my main focus is the development of sustainable social projects, human rights advocacy and providing education and healthcare opportunities to children and families in need.

My education began with graduating from the Vasil Levski Secondary School in Velingrad (2000–2004), where I specialized in biology and health education, chemistry, information technology, geography and economics.

During the period 2004–2007, I continued my studies at the Higher Islamic Institute in Sofia.

In 2017, I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the Higher School of Agribusiness and Regional Development in Plovdiv.

Since 2022, I have been a student in a Master's program in Law at the New Bulgarian University in Sofia.

As the founder and manager of Al Selyam Association, I have created and implemented numerous initiatives for social inclusion, training and support for disadvantaged people.

My experience as a volunteer in UNICEF projects to help children in the Third World has taught me the value of solidarity, sustainability and humanity.

I strongly believe that change starts with small steps and that every hand extended in time can change someone's life.

My mission is to contribute to building a more just, humane and dignified society for all.
